Question 2 — Word processing
2.46 marks

Insert 2_LogoHub.png next to the paragraph starting 'Our pitch day…' on page 1. Apply a solid 6 pt border, Height 4.0 cm, Width 3.0 cm, and text wrapping so it appears as shown (picture on the left, text to its right).

Show answer
  1. Click at the start of the paragraph "Our pitch day…". Insert → Pictures → This Device → 2_LogoHub.png.

  2. With the picture selected: Layout Options icon (or Picture Format → Wrap Text) → Square (Tight also works).

  3. Picture Format → Picture Border → Weight → 6 pt, choose a colour (black in the example), and Dashes → Solid Line.

  4. Size group: click the dialog launcher. On the Size tab untick Lock aspect ratio, set Height 4 cm and Width 3 cm.

  5. Drag the picture to the left of the paragraph, so the text flows on its right as in the screenshot.

Why this earns the marks

six actions = six marks: insert, 6 pt weight, solid line, height, width, wrapping/position — six separately checkable properties of one picture, which is why this sub-question is worth so much more than a typical 1–2 action one. Lock aspect ratio must be off or Word re-scales one dimension and you cannot reach both 4 cm and 3 cm, because with the ratio locked the two measurements are mathematically tied together and only one can be set freely. The default In Line with Text wrapping would put the picture on its own line (it's treated as one big character inside the paragraph), which is why wrapping is a separate mark: nothing about setting a border or a size changes how text flows around the picture.
